Euro 2012 kicks off tonight in Poland as the footballing summer begins in earnest with Poland playing Greece in less than 2 hours time. England fans, though, have to wait until Monday for their big match against France. Even though the build-up to this tournament has been quite understated in England, there is still hope that this could be the big one for us, especially under new boss Roy Hodgson who has a 100% winning record (from his two games in charge) as England manager.

And despite fears about potential racist abuse there and calls for fans to stay home, there will be one group who will certainly be there no matter what... The St George fan club. Ever since the run-up to Germany 2006 Stan and his mates have been dressing up as St George (Stan is George the First) and have attended every single England match since then, home or away, almost creating a fan following of their own and appearing on TV on many occasions.

But, of course, although they are die-hard England fans their stories, especially from their away-game travels, are normally to do with a bit more than just football. These fans have a massive collection of crazy adventures and bizarre stories to tell - made more interesting by the fact that they are wearing capes and chainmail the whole time too! To read about Stan and his fellow George's ridiculous exploits buy the book, By George, here today!
