Agnes Docherty was the original footballer's wife. Agnes Docherty was born in Girvan on the west coast of Scotland in February 1929. She married Tommy in 1949 and they split in 1977. Agnes died in September 2002. Tom Docherty was born in Preston in July 1956, the third of Agnes' four children. A freelance sports producer/director for the past 18 years, he has a daughter Amy, a stepdaughter Rebecca and lives with his wife Rachel and their two dogs in Essex.
