Martyn Williams was born in Pontypridd in 1975. One of the leading rugby players in Wales for the past decade, he is hugely respected both on and off the field. After making his name with his home-town club, winning his first cap in 1996, he moved to Cardiff in 1999. Martyn has captained both Cardiff and Wales and been on two tours with the British Lions. In 2005, he was voted player of the Six Nations championship after taking a key role in Wales' Grand Slam triumph. Martyn lives on the outskirts of Cardiff with his wife and two children.
