My Last Blog For August!

By Sara - 24-08-2010 Rating:
I have no qualms in saying I am ecstatic that this is my last blog (well for at least 12days). You see tomorrow I will be in sunny Italy enjoying my ten-day break! Don't get me wrong I love working for John Blake Publishing but I equally love sitting out in the sun drinking the odd glass of Prosecco and eating exquisite Italian food. My intention here is not to make you jealous but I can't deny I am a little smug. Actually, I am not the only one in the office taking my holiday at the end of this week. The days running up to and after Bank Holiday weekend are always a popular time for holidaymakers. So, I thought I would take some time out to advise you on some summer reading books.

Men.

As the football season has begun again (it feels like it never went away) why not brush up on your football knowledge.

Die-hard Manchester United fans will love this Paul Scholes biography and Oh Yes, Oh Yes we are the PPS is the perfect book for Preston North End fans. If football doesn't take your fancy how about some thrilling crime fiction from Wensley Clarkson or Conrad Williams. What better way to relax than reading about murderous rampages.

Women.

Celebrity books are always easy to digest and often very juicy. Emily Herbert does an excellent job of keeping us up to date on the life and times of Kate Price and her latest edition Katie and Peter - Moving On is no exception. But if that doesn't tickle your fancy you could always give Heart and Soul a go by Melissa Bell mother of Alexandra Burke. If celebrity gossip does nothing for you (what era are you living in??) then how about reading the exceptionally talented Tara Moss's crime thriller HIT! You won't be disappointed.

That's all folks. Ciao for now.x
