Britain has only just recovered from the celebrations of last year's Royal Wedding, and now we are gearing back up for the Diamond Jubilee - sure to be another glamorous event (and an extra Bank Holiday!)

The Royal family is more than a well-loved national institution now, it's a global icon. Celebrities from all over the world clamoured to be a part of the wedding last year, and the entire world stopped to watch with an estimated global audience of around 2 billion people!! However, there's still much about the Royal Family you would never know...

Did you know that the Queen Mother hid gin in her hatbox when she travelled because she 'couldn't get through all those royal engagements without a little something'?

Or that Prince Harry has to employ two secretaries to deal with all of his fan mail (invariably from teenage girls)

Or that when the Queen's children were young, she made her Prime Ministers arrive late for their bi-weekly meeting because she wanted to read her children their bed-time stories?
