Synopsis
The Star Chef's Cook Book is a beautifully illustrated collection of personal portraits of the most celebrated chefs in the country. Each chef has submitted his or her favourite recipes and has granted the author special interviews to talk about their life and work. Names such as Gordon Ramsey, Raymond Blanc, Michel Roux, Anton Mosimann, Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers have all made contributions.

The idea for the book came to young artist Richard Bramble when walking past a restaurant and being drawn to the vibrancy inside. ëIt was so full of life, so colourful, it seemed such an exciting era for the chefs and their restaurants.' Almost immediately he set an easel in the street and began to paint.

At first, his vision was to put on a show of the paintings, with a catalogue that included the recipes. But it soon became apparent that he could create a unique book, a portrait of excellence told through his art.

The result is a book that perfectly captures the spirit of Britain's finest cuisine, and which allows the reader to experiment with this sublime cooking for him or herself.
