Wimbledon 2012

By Clare - 29-06-2012 Rating:
Last night's match saw Andy Murray reach the third round at Wimbledon with a controversial win over Croatian Ivo Karlovic in four sets, 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 7-6 (7-4). One of the biggest servers in the competition the loss left the 6ft 10in tall Karlovic furious after being called for a succession of foot faults, including in in the final tie-break. Murray now goes on to face Marcos Baghdatis.

Meanwhile little-known Czech, Lukas Rosal, caused the biggest upset of the tournament so far by knocking out favourite, two-time champion, Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard's defeat is great news for Andy Murray who is hoping to avoid semi-final heartache this year.

Another favourite with Wimbledon crowds is legendary Swiss player Roger Federer who made it safely through to the third round by beating Fabio Fognini 6-1, 6-3, 6-2, he now goes on to face Frenchman Julein Benneteau.
